Congrats to sophomore Lindsay Mazzucco for being selected as a member of the Puerto Rican National Lacrosse Team. The starting goalie for the Caseys was encouraged by head coach Troy Madison to tryout and quickly found herself among intense competition from players of all ages and levels for a select number of spots on the team. Even though Lindsay is not of Puerto Rican descent, she was able to tryout as a passport player. A First Team All-Shore selection her freshman year, Lindsay’s talent earned her a spot. Competition will take her to the World Games in Ontario Canada in early August and, of course, Puerto Rico where the team will meet and practice with each other ahead of the Games. Lindsay is extremely excited and feels blessed for the opportunity she has earned. “I am so excited to create a bond with these girls and represent a sport we all love so much. We are also helping to bring the game of girls lacrosse (to Puerto Rico) and will host clinics for young children.” Her RBC teammates, as well as the entire Casey community, will be cheering her on!
