Student leaders from RBC’s chapter of Catholic Athletes for Christ (CAC) attended the Diocese of Trenton Annual CAC Leadership Conference on September 18th at the Chancery and Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ. RBC students lead the morning off with the opening prayer and then participated in group breakouts sharing thoughts and hearing suggestions on how to strengthen and promote CAC in their schools. All in attendance prayed a decade of the Rosary at Notre Dame High School. Mr. Abatemarco sat on a panel discussion about the information gathered during the group discussions. RBC senior Anthony Romano and junior Kevin Bauman spoke on behalf of their groups.

CAC, originally a college program, serves Catholic athletes in the practice of their faith and shares the Gospel through sports. Red Bank Catholic was the first high school to implement the program and the Diocese of Trenton is the first in the country to implement the program on a secondary level, diocesan-wide. Representing the Caseys were Seniors Anthony Romano (football) and Mario Flego (ice hockey); Juniors Jack Zenkert (football/lacrosse), Ryan Edgerly (football), Kevin Bauman (football/basketball); Sophomores Julianne Kopec (field hockey/track), Emily Lane (softball), and Kylie Rochford (softball).
